I am Nilesh Amarathunge

Hi! I'm Nilesh Amarathunge, a passionate engineering undergraduate currently studing in University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. I specialize in software development, embedded systems, and robotics, and I'm deeply committed to building innovative and meaningful tech solutions.

My current focus is on developing full-stack web applications, experimenting with Internet of Things (IoT) systems, and continuously refining my skills electronics

Looking ahead, I aspire to become a highly skilled engineer and researcher in the fields of AI and autonomous systems. I'm driven by curiosity, powered by learning, and ready to take on opportunities that challenge and grow me — whether that's collaborating on impactful projects or exploring new technological frontiers.

Education

Maliyadeva College, located in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka, is among the country's oldest national schools. Established in 1888 by the Buddhist Theosophical Society under Colonel Henry Steel Olcott, it serves over 4,000 students.

University of Moratuwa, located in Moratuwa, is Sri Lanka’s premier engineering and technology university. Established in 1972, its motto “Wisdom is all Wealth” reflects its focus on academic and technical excellence.

Projects

RoboGames is an inter-university robotics competition where student teams design, build, and battle custom-built robots in head-to-head matches. As a proud member of Team LYNX, I played a leading role in bringing our battle bot to life.

D-Mobile is an e-commerce website developed for a local electronics store, providing a complete online platform for browsing and purchasing products.
